Meet Dr. Sellers

Dr. Sellers is a board certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. (This Board is recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties as the only Board Certification for Plastic Surgery). He has been serving patients from the entire Intermountain Region since 1987.

Dr. Sellers has been recognized as a leader by his peers, having been given the honor to serve as the President of the Utah State Plastic Surgery Society, the Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at LDS Hospital, and the Chief of Plastic surgery at Lakeview Hospital in Davis County. His areas of special interest include BREAST SURGERY, using advanced techniques for breast reconstruction, less scarring and more shapely techniques for breast lifts, and taking the time to develop the most appropriate individual plan for women desiring breast enhancement; FACIAL REJUVENATION through careful analysis of individual form and need, and BODY SCULPTING through soft tissue manipulations, viz. liposculpting, tummy tucks, thigh and body lifts, and other procedures individually selected to meet the unique needs of each patient. Microdermabrasion, botox, filler injections and certain laser procedures are all part of his patient-oriented practice. As a trained microsurgeon, Dr. Sellers' skills are often requested in the reconstruction of severe traumatic injuries, cancer resections and birth defects. Dr. Sellers also completed additional training in hand surgery to be able to provide his patients with the most skilled and appropriate reconstructive surgery possible.

Biography

Dr. Dan Sellers is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has been fully trained in all aspects of modern plastic and reconstructive surgery including: cosmetic surgery of the face and body, breast surgery including reconstruction, augmentation and reduction, suction-assisted lipectomy (including the new ultrasonic assisted liposuction) body contouring and laser face resurfacing. In addition, he has extensive training in microsurgical techniques of the hand, repairing trauma, cancer, congenital problems, and all other aspects of reconstructive surgery. Dr. Sellers received his Medical training from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center in Portland, Oregon. After completing his residency at the same institution, he completed an additional year's fellowship training in hand surgery at the Raymond M. Curtis Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He then trained for an additional time in Aesthetic Surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City.

Family

Dr. Sellers and his wife Marian were high school sweethearts in Oregon. They were married in 1974. They have four children: Tammy, Holly, Scott and Steffani. Tammy and her husband Bryce live in North Salt Lake; Tammy works for the Utah Tissue Center. Holly and her husband Clark live in Salt Lake City where she practices as an attorney. Scott and his wife Amy live in Illinois where he works in city management. Steffani and her husband Nic live in Bountiful as they care for their newborn twins.

In Dr. Sellers' spare time he enjoys working around his home, mountain biking, skiing, snowmobiling and spending time with his wife and family He and his wife enjoy music, and both share in the experience of being members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Dr. Sellers is one of the founding members of Operation Smile Utah Chapter, and has traveled extensively with that organization performing volunteer reconstructive surgery in over 20 missions worldwide.
